The University of Cadiz is the southern university of Europe. A public institution committed with its environment, dedicated to generate, spread and transfer knowledge and culture, such as integral training of people and professionals. It distributes its academic and scientific work along its 4 campuses (Cádiz, Puerto Real, Jerez and Algeciras). 15 centres (11 faculties and 4 colleges), 47 departments, more than 190 research groups and 6 research institutes develop here their activity.
With 1.700 teachers and researchers and more than 20.000 students, it guarantees a quality teaching within a wide and specialised offer of 44 degrees, 15 major degrees, 50 masters and 17 doctoral programmes in every branch of knowledge. It coordinates the Campus of International Excellence of the Sea (CEI·MAR).
The wide programme of internships and the mobility of students, the UCA scholarships and a full service network (sports, library, cultural programming, psycho-pedagogical attention, languages, etc.) turn this university into an institution of reference in a privileged environment, geographically and climatologically.
